Our very own singer songwriter Paul Johnson talks in depth to Virginia Kettle from Merry Hell in his usual jovial way, about the release of her brand new solo album ‘No Place Like Tomorrow’ which is out now.

Paul speaks with Virginia from his ‘Mystic Marsh’ studio, way down by the sea (litrally) on Kent’s Mystic Marshes.

Paul talks in depth to Virginia about her love of performing , her expert prowess for ‘people watching’, stunning observational song writing , her energies and her enthralling stage presence.

Virginia Kettle is at the heart of the creative force of Merry Hell. Born in Manchester, raised in Chester and shaped by a life time of music and adventure, Virginia has long been a solo singer songwriter under her maiden name Virginia Barrett, releasing two albums, ‘The quiet bridge’ and ‘Sense of human’, before joining husband John and his two brothers as they formed the folk rock monster that is Merry Hell.
