Amy Goddard announces her new album

Amy Goddard

Amy Goddard is a well-regarded name on the folk and acoustic scene around Portsmouth, although she grew up in South Wales in the Merthyr Valley. Her status as a singer-songwriter is complemented by her expertise as music teacher and luthier.

Amy is pleased to release her new album Rise on 22nd July. Eleven tracks, mostly her own material and featuring some amazing guests such as Ross Ainslie (Musician of the Year nominee BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2013, 2016 and 2018) on whistles and pipe and Hannah Fisher (Idlewild and King Creosote) on fiddle.

This release follows three acclaimed CDs of her own material, including the award winning song ‘Remembering Aberfan’, and a tribute album to John Stewart named as number two in the critics choice for 2019 in Country Music People.

The single ‘Cornish Mist’ from Rise has already received excellent air play and press.
