Gloucestershire based ‘The Roving Crows’ have gained well-deserved international recognition by taking home 2 titles at the Irish Music Awards in Missouri on 28th January; The Roving Crows won ‘Top Celtic Rock Band’ and as if this coveted title was not enough, Caitlin Barrett also took home the prize of ‘Top Fiddle Player’.
This is like a dream come true for the hard-working band that have also been busy recording their highly anticipated 2nd album at the legendary Rockfield Studios, Monmouth with acclaimed producer Nick Brine (The Darkness, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen). Nick first heard the Crows unique sound at the Exposure Music Awards (Cheltenham) where he was immediately interested in getting in touch with the band to produce their next release.
Things are just going from strength to strength for The Roving Crows. Not forgetting their roots the album tour begins on the 17th March at Gloucester Guildhall with the Paddy’s Day Extravaganza and album launch party. Undoubtedly the biggest St Patrick’s Day party around; the Crows will showcase some new material, guaranteeing an incredible musical journey and foot-stomping night.
The entirely self- managed group write all their own songs and put an original vibe to traditional tunes, one of the best live acts around.
