Alex Seel is excited to announce of his forthcoming album All Sails To The Sun (Release 29th September).
The album is a dynamic mix ranging from Nick Drake/ Dylanesque folk ballads through to rock that showcases Alex’s sound and is inspired by British Folk Revival and poetic and often topical lyric writing.
With officially two albums and two EPs under his belt, Seel has built a slow but steady following that has earned him respect from a growing number of folk clubs, radio play and interest from abroad. He has supported Graham Parker and Clive Carrol amongst many others.
All Sails To The Sun is a self-produced album which allows Alex’s pure freedom of creative expression. Recorded at home and at the rehearsal studio where Alex currently works as a sound tech, he has put to good use the talents of friends, virtuoso instrumentalist Jon Sanders, drummer Sam Winwood and percussionist Martin Schaerer.
The title track to the ‘No Goodbyes’ single is a stripped back production allowing the narrative to move the listener along. Alex says, “a long time ago, when I had a proper job, I knew I had to quit but couldn’t make the leap and didn’t know what to do next but knew I had to go. It’s a light-hearted look at that in between stage of making a painful decision – Will I? Won’t I? Something we’ve all probably had to do at some stage”.
All Sails To The Sun will be available on Friday 29th September on all streaming platforms and in CD format from his website/Bandcamp (www.alexseel.com).
Alex is currently touring and promoting the album and is available for interviews and features. For more information, please visit https://linktr.ee/alexseelmusic
