Parker Millsap releases third album next month

Parker Millsap

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Parker Millsap will release his third full band album, Other Arrangements on June 15th via Thirty Tigers. The anticipated new release showcases the 24 year-old’s evolution as an artist who continues to create music without the confines of genre. Other Arrangements spotlights Millsap’s dynamic vocals on an original set of infectious songs with insightful lyrics.

While his first two albums were praised for their philosophical and religious imagery, Other Arrangements plays more like a favourite rock radio channel from the 70’s. Moving effortlessly between rock, blues and pop, the new album also showcases Millsap’s most dynamic electric guitar playing to date, especially on the explosive opening track (and radio single) ‘Fine Line’. His literary thought-provoking writing style touches on themes of love, human struggle, passion and tolerance on the new album.

Since the release of his critically acclaimed album The Very Last Day, Millsap made his late-night television debut on CONAN, and appeared on the acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits as well as Bluegrass Underground. Millsap also had the honour of being asked to perform with Sir Elton John at the Apple Music Festival at London’s Roundhouse, after which the Grammy-winning legend, who was already a fan, attended a live performance in Atlanta, GA proclaiming, “Last night in Atlanta I saw one of the best concerts I have ever seen…It restored my faith in music.”

Other Arrangements was co-produced with Grammy award-winning engineer/producer Gary Paczosa and Grammy award-winning engineer Shani Gandhi at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, NC and Minutia Studio in Nashville, TN. Along with band-mates Daniel Foulks (fiddle) and Michael Rose (bass), Millsap is joined by Paddy Ryan on drums/percussion and backup singers including Odessa, Shirley and Calvin Settles, and Jillette Johnson.

Millsap possesses a rare charisma on stage, and his live performances are intense and captivating. Don’t miss a chance to catch his moving show as he hits the road in support of Other Arrangements this spring.
