LIzzy Hardingham announces new album and tour dates

Lizzie Hardingham

How Did We Get Here? is Lizzy Hardingham’s brand new studio album which explores the relationship between music and mental health. This Help Musicians UK funded album combines eight deftly crafted songs (recorded at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios) and thought-provoking audio clips from interviews with musicians, mental health charities, music therapists and music professionals. Together with accomplished producer Tom Wright, Lizzy has created a compelling conversation between interviews with musicians like Nancy Kerr, Julie Matthews and Blair Dunlop and exquisitely vulnerable music featuring the likes of Lukas Drinkwater and Katriona Gilmore.

As a folk singer-songwriter Lizzy Hardingham performs songs that dive straight to the heart, giving audiences a chance for genuine connection, empathy and empowerment. Her powerful voice grabs the listener from the very first note and holds on until the last. 2019 (her debut in the folk circuit) saw her storm the UK folk club and festival scene, including Cambridge Folk Festival, while in 2020 she captivated online audiences with “a voice that could fill a stadium and the sensitivity to bring a room to attentive silence” (Fatea Magazine). During 2021 Lizzy worked closely with the English Folk Expo and Michael Hughes, focusing on “firmly nailing her place as one of the rising stars of the folk scene” (Kimpton folk Festival). In short Lizzy gives “a dazzling combination of voice and songwriting talent that rarely appears” (Celtic Music Radio).
