Wimborne Minster Folk Festival is back for 2023. This ever popular festival fills the streets of Wimborne with colour, music and dance from the 9th to the 11th of June. Music acts this year, performing at concerts at the Main stage at the Allendale include Trials of Cato, Ranagri, The Joshua Burnell Band, Brothers Gillespie and the Carrivick Sisters with many more acts performing during the weekend. The Festival Organisers are honoured that the Tashi L’Hunpo Monks will be joining them and creating a Mandala. The Monks will also be putting on a performance of sacred dance and prayer. Weekend tickets for entry to all these performances and to the Saturday night ceilidh with Murphys Lore are going fast and can be found on the website www.wimbornefolk.co.uk or on Ticket source.
During the weekend there will be forty dance sides from around the country who will be performing at various locations around the town and at the traditional procession at 2.30pm on the Saturday. Art from local artists is to be displayed at Allendale house. You may even be able to buy an original painting or sculpture. On the Sunday, the Festival will be welcoming back the Mad 4 Animals show to the Dacombes of Wimborne Stage in Willow Walk.
With five stages, four additional music venues, trade stands, weekend camping from two different campsites and some free brilliant children’s activities, the town will be buzzing for the whole weekend. Why not come along and join in the fun at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival 2023!
