Luke Concannon (Nizlopi) announces September tour

Luke Concannon

Luke Concannon has early memories of listening to live music, dancing, singing, and putting on plays, at his Irish family’s parties in Warwickshire England. He’s been making music in community ever since. Aged 26 he topped the UK and Irish charts with his duo Nizlopi’s ‘The JCB Song’ about singing with has Dad after school in the family digger; the band were totally independent, turning down offers from Major labels in order to stay true to their ethic of being community based, activists with integrity. The band split in 2009 due to the pressures of holding their ideals together, and Luke has been finding a way back to wholeness since. Last year’s album Ecstatic Bird In The Burning saw Luke enter the US and UK folk charts at No 12, and receive rave reviews. Hot music live, this tour will be the first since that album’s release.

Now Luke Concannon is heading out on tour this September with a new single asking people ‘What would you change if you loved somebody’.

“After the pandemic, and these crisis times we are living through’ says Concannon, ‘I want to gather with people, sing and dance, laugh, listen cry; I’m writing and singing for a better world; I hope that getting happy together, and affirming our hopes and dreams, can give us courage for the road ahead”.

Concannon’s latest single ‘What Would You Change?’ was written during lockdown and sings of friends and family who’s “song is in my head” even when far apart, unable to see each other, we were still very much connected, these times of crisis and suffering can wake us up to the things that are important and invite us to make a positive difference.

Concannon is heading out on the Our Wild Songs tour through England from 13th Sept through October. Don’t miss this tour; it’s a rare chance to connect and sing all our cares away.
