Bouree & Ian Anderson’s tribute to Glenn Cornick at Weyfest

glenncornick1971This video is dedicated to the memory of Glenn Cornick who sadly left us recently on August 28th at age 67.

Glen was a major part of the original Jethro Tull line-up in 1967 and featured on the first three Tull albums This Was (1968), Stand Up (1969) and Benefit (1970).

Cornick’s bass (along with Clive Bunker’s drums) formed the bands blues and jazz engine room which underpinned the classic early Tull sound.

In the video above, Ian Anderson pays tribute to Glenn (apologies, I was not quick enough to capture the introduction) but was able to record the performance of the Tull classic Bouree.

The video was recorded by Darren Beech at Weyfest on the 30th August 2014.
