The three talented songwriters embark on an Irish Tour this January and February.
Kris Mizzi was awarded the 2021 Australian Folk Alliance ‘Solo Artist of the Year,’ and is widely recognised as one of the country’s finest folk voices. With a vocal delivery that’s truly unforgettable, Mizzi weaves beauty and honesty into his lyrics. His distinctive picking style and emotive storytelling have earned him a reputation for deeply intimate solo performances.
After a recent journey to Nashville, where he collaborated with top American musicians and signed a deal with TEN TEN Publishing, Mizzi is currently crafting new material for an international release. He’s now poised to make his mark on the global folk music scene and looks forward to playing Your Roots are Showing.
Reading [UK] & Melbourne-based (Aus) folk-pop artist Seren Spain brings a rich musical background to her craft, having studied violin with Carol Hultmark of the Philharmonic Orchestra and benefiting from the mentorship of notable figures like Hilary Du Pre and Daniel Nicholls. Seren draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including Karen Dalton, Nina Simone, Rufus Wainwright, The Smiths, and Tame Impala.
Keep an eye out for her Debut EP that will be released in January 2025. With an invitation to play an Official Showcase at Ireland’s Folk Conference, Your Roots are Showing, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland, in January 2025, she continues her tour to the UK and Ireland.
Completing this stellar lineup is Ireland’s incredibly talented Alan Daniel Tobin, also known as ADT Recordings, whose songwriting and vocal prowess stand as a testament to Ireland’s profound musical heritage. His performances are imbued with vocal warmth and sincerity. Alan also has a passion about Lighthouses, and toured Ireland’s coastal areas during 2024, so expect some of those tales during the night! Alan has been invited to play an Official Showcase at ireland’s Folk Conference, Your Roots are Showing in mid January 2025.
