Oysterband: the outfit that grew and grew from punk-ceilidh origins to bring passion, power and not a little poetry to folk and roots music 36 countries later: 5 times BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards winners; 14 studio albums, including two cult classics with the great folk diva June Tabor  –  not counting compilations, best-ofs, DVDs, solo projects, or live recordings. Plus an album of new songs due for release late summer 2021.

Oysterband still features the 3 original members and songwriters John Jones (lead vocal), Alan Prosser (guitar, vocal) and Ian Telfer (violin, keyboard), with Al Scott (bass, mandolin, vocal), Adrian Oxaal (cello, guitar, vocal) and Sean Randle (drums).

“We’ve missed you.  And we’re going to hit the road running in September – back on stage at last with old, recent and brand-new songs, a new drummer and ready to roll.  After 40-some years of touring it’s strangely exciting to feel like we’re starting over.  We’ve never been so glad to be able to say Meet You There!”
