Acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Elliott Morris releases his eagerly anticipated ‘Shadows and Whispers’ EP on 2nd December, funded by Help Musicians UK. Elliott won a prestigious Danny Kyle award at this year’s Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow and over the summer was showcased in a special article in Acoustic Magazine as the ‘Next Big Thing’.
With a formidable reputation as one of the hardest-working and most sought-after young artists on the acoustic scene, Elliott Morris has toured venues big and small across the British Isles this year. Since opening for chart-toppers Madness at Newark Festival in June he has performed at Y Not Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, The London Acoustic Guitar Show and the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival.
Elliott has recently played the The Ullapool Guitar Festival and tour support dates with Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike + The Mechanics) and Irish singer/songwriter Brian Kennedy, along with a number of headline shows.
‘Shadows and Whispers’ highlights two original Elliott Morris compositions and two arrangements of traditional material. The tracks include exciting guest musicians – Gemma Telfer from fellow Danny award winners Gria, Sam Pirt from The Hut People and 422 (BBC Radio 2 Young Folk award winners), and Kat Hurdley from The QP.
