The 19th Street Band – new album

19th Street Band

High-energy Americana folk-rock group, The 19th Street Band, is making their debut appearance in Northern Ireland this summer as part of the Open House Festival in Bangor and to promote their new album, The Things That Matter. The tour kicked off with their first show in the UK on the Belfast Barge, then they will have three appearances as part of Bangor’s Open House Festival. More UK dates being announced soon, so stay tuned to their website for the most up-to-date schedule.

Caolaidhe (Cally) Davis immigrated to America from Holywood, Northern Ireland in 2005 to pursue a career in music. While establishing an earlier band, he found himself in need of a fiddle player and was lucky enough to meet Meghan and audition her for his band. What Caolaidhe didn’t know was that he was auditioning his future wife. Fast-forward a few months down the road, and the pair found themselves living on ‘19th Street’ in Arlington, Virginia, writing songs and creating the sound that would become the backbone of The 19th Street Band.

While The 19th Street Band has steadily been performing countless shows on the east coast of America, this will be their first UK tour. Caolaidhe is very excited to be able to bring the music that he and Meghan have been working on for the past eight years back home and essentially have his first homecoming with the band.
