Gabriel Moreno And The Quivering Poets announce their new album

Gabriel Moreno

Gabriel Moreno and the Quivering Poets announce the follow up to 2017’s critically acclaimed record Love & Decadence with a full length album available on iTunes, Amazon, CD from 19th October 2017.

Gabriel Moreno is a poet and songwriter whose guitar playing style is rooted in his native Gibraltar whilst his songs have their foundations in British and American, modern musical structures. During the recording of his album, Love & Decadence Gabriel Moreno had gravitating towards him some of the most interesting musicians in the alternative folk scene of London and Barcelona to form what would be known as The Quivering Poets.

Heavily influenced by poetical lyricism of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Bill Callahan, the band’s Mediterranean rhythms fused with folk arpeggios have provided the basis for their increasing popularity on London’s Alternative Folk scene. Farewell Belief typifies Gabriel’s character-driven storytelling, set against crafted violin motifs and flowing Spanish guitar.

The album will be supported by a launch party at The Old Queen’s Head, Angel, London on the 19th October and with tour dates throughout September and October in the UK before moving on to dates in Barcelona and Moreno’s home town of Gibraltar.

“On his latest album, Farewell Belief, Gabriel Moreno’s gentle, poetic lyrics are enhanced by the accompanying instruments. The fiddle in particular soars above and around the words superbly. I can hear touches of Leonard Cohen in several of the tracks on the album.” – Jane Clayton, West Norfolk Radio

“Perceptive, passionate, prolific & Poignant. …solid and authentic sound that warms the heart and the soul.” – John Flannery, Art Speak, Soho Radio
