The Goose Is Out! first club night of the year, with the excellent Hector Gilchrist & Carol Anderson. Hope some of you can make it. It all happens at The Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road, Nunhead, London SE15 3BE.

Hector Gilchrist with Carol AndersonJanuary 11, 2018, 7:00pmThe Ivy House*** Floorspots welcome *** £7 on the door ***

An established performer on the folk scene, Hector Gilchrist has appeared throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond. Born in Ayrshire, he has been involved in folk music since the 60s.

His repertoire contains songs traditional and contemporary, sung in a lyrical style usually with uncomplicated guitar accompaniment.

He is widely acknowledged as one of the finest interpreters of the songs of Robert Burns and will be performing several of these during the evening. This gig is close enough to Burns Night for us to have an excuse to have a Scottish/Burns theme. It would be great if floorsingers could sing Scottish ot Scotland-related songs- but not compulsory, of course. 🙂

Hector is joined by fiddler and singer Carol Anderson who delighted a large audience back in October with her dazzling Scottish tunes and songs.
